B. Payment Schedule (in Cdn $)
Refund Policy: The first $1000 is not refundable and signifies a level of committment to attend the program. Once students are in Guatemala and have started the program they will not be given a refund for paid tuition for any reason.
1. Student Loans: Students are eligible for student loans and should apply for them through Trinity Western University as if you were enrolled as a full time student there. 3. Scholarships: Some scholarships can be used for this program. For example the BC "Passport to Education" and the Alberta "Rutherford". Check with individual scholarship requirements to see if they can be applied. 4. Income Tax Receipts: You can save money by receiving a tax refund after the program. CEMI (Fuego) will give a tax receipt for up to $2000 for the missions portion of the total cost of the program. The airfare is also tax receiptable if you send us a receipt for the ticket purchase. 5. Fund Raising: Since this is not only an educational program but also a practical missions outreach to Guatemala, students may seek support from family, friends and church. Mann students have had the majority of the costs paid for by sending out missions letters and holding a dimmer or dessert night in their church.Note: that if your supports receive a tax receipt, it will be deducted from the $2000 receipt given to you. |
