Statement of faith

1. God is the creator of the universe including all matter and all life.

2. Jesus Christ is the Son of God having His deity and attributes. He was born in human form of a virgin, lived a sinless life to reveal the character of God to Mankind, died to atone for the sins of Mankind and was raised to live again to defeat death and reveal the glory of his Father. He will return again.

3. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead, present today and indwelling believers, bringing them peace, wisdom, comfort and truth.

4. The Bible is the inspired word of God and provides the basis of all truth.

5. Man was originally created in God’s image but is now, after the fall, sinful by nature and therefore separated from God and in need of salvation.

6. Salvation is made possible to all people by the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ who paid the penalty of our sin with his own blood.

7. Each individual is saved to eternal life when he/she believes by faith in the free gift of the grace of God, repents and accepts Jesus’ atonement as the only possible payment for his/her own sins.

8. We are in a spiritual battle with a real, evil being called Satan for the minds and souls of all people.

Philosophy

1. Life is not divided into secular and religious parts. It is an integrated whole with Jesus Christ as the common denominator. Therefore, all thoughts and all activities are to be brought under the Lordship of Christ for his glory.

2. Education must provide for the integration of biblical truth into every area of study and every aspect of life.

3. An education that does not include God is not teaching the whole truth about a particular subject matter or about life.

4. A Christian education recognizes that all people are spiritual beings and therefore seeks personal development in spiritual areas as well as intellectual, social and physical.

5. The primary goal of Christian education is spiritual growth and the development of character.

6. The most important element in the educational process is the teacher. He/she teaches about life through the context of course material revealing their own Biblical values and beliefs and through modeling the Christian life in all situations. Christian teachers are therefore essential to Christian Education.

7. Good education integrates theoretical or academic learning with practical, 'real-life' experience.
